ANZAC Memories
Our students have been learning about the ANZACs and finding out about their own family members who went to war. It is amazing how many of our young people have relatives who fought for our country, and it has been absolutely fascinating and very moving to hear their stories.
Mr Jennings and Room 9 also made and planted the crosses at the front of the school (each cross representing nearly a hundred soldiers who died) and Mrs Hodgson and Room 6 created a "Remembrance Tree".
Our students also took part in the ANZAC parade and three of our student leaders (Connor Howard, Sam Godwin and Hayden Moxsom) carried the wreath bearing poppies that were made by students throughout the school. Thank to Mr Jennings for his help making the wreath and to all the students for their wonderful contribution.
Thursday is one of the highlights of my week - it's the day when the whole Middle Syndicate Team get together for sports and assembly. It's great to see our students cooperating together, sharing their work and winning certificates for their achievements and hard work.
Thank you to Jess Juby and the parents who came to help train these young netballers. Aren't they wonderful!
