On Thursday we were so lucky to have Alby Tukia joining us to help the students. He shared his own amazing artwork with us, (which you can see in the first four pictures) and told us all about Tongan Tapa. We even had Tongan music to get us in the mood. Melissa and Jo also helped out, and it for me it was a highlight of the week.
Our other exciting electives took place too and it was great to have our parent helpers who assisted students and joined in the fun. Thank you!! We couldn't do it without you.
This week the students saw two great musical performances in our school (aren't we lucky to have such a great space!!).
Guitara Guitara are a very talented group from Thames High School; they sang some beautiful songs and what a treat their concert was.
The Revolution Tour shared their "No bullying message - "Stop the Bull" and also entertained the students with songs, dance and magic tricks. Check out the photos on our Proudly Parawai Facebook page.

Hmmm.... I wonder what the best insulating material is?
Rms 10, 11, and 12 are finding out. Seven jars, seven thermometers, a kettle, a stop watch and different materials to test - quite an organisational feat! Thanks to Mr Jennings student, Miss Macale, for helping us out. Results in next week's blog.
What do you think will be the winner?
