So far we have researched the temperature of different things and places (on our Chromebooks), placed them on our giant thermometer and recorded them in our books. Do you know what temperature these things are - inside a freezer, inside a fridge, the hottest and coldest places in the world, a drink of hot chocolate, tap water, on different planets?
Next week we will be looking at the way molecules move in different temperatures and doing some experiments with dye and water to test the theories out.
This term I will be taking Room 12 for Statistics and Maori, so this was our last art lesson. The students used their photos and then created an amazing array of different patterns for their crazy hair. They aren't quite finished yet and they will be finishing their pictures with Mrs Wood.
In Wednesday the students were entertained by the NED road show complete with yoyo tricks. It was a really entertaining and fun assembly, but the message of the show was the most important thing and is really good advice for everyone to follow -
Never give up.
Encourage others.
Do your best.
We had quite a backlog of certificates to give out in our Middle Syndicate Assembly, so well done to all the recipients. We also were delighted to hear that one of our students now has three new baby brothers. Her friends sang a song to celebrate the happy event. (Apologies for the fuzzy photo quality - shaky hand, time for a coffee!)
