Biking on the field!
We now have nearly 30 bikes donated by Arthur Harsant and his team (thanks Arthur!) The students are also enjoying bringing in their own bikes and plans are also underway for a bike track. We are still short of helmets though.... any ideas or offers?
Thank you to all the parents who came to the Uniform Sizing day on Wednesday.
Apologies for the long queues! I can't wait to see our students looking so smart in their new gear. Photos coming up soon......
The Middle and Senior school took advantage of the lovely weather on Thursday morning. As you can see, practising our batting skills is key component.
Peer mediation is still going on in the hall, so Rm 6 was our venue for assembly once again. What great displays there are in there too! This week, we heard some amazing descriptive writing from Rm 14 and saw some lovely 'mark making' art work from Rm 15. (see photo above)
Apologies to our birthday boys and girls - the camera seems to have had a 'melt down' and your photos didn't come out. We'll 'snap' you again next week.
Room 12 and I have been 'getting creative' with our self portraits. We are trying different materials and techniques. At the end we will create a final portrait using our favourite technique or a combination of techniques to create a mixed media piece.
If anyone can spare some pairs of wire cutters, that would be very helpful.
On Thursday afternoon 35 students, Mrs Cato and I, together with several parents went to this exhibition in Richmond Villas Community Hall. The pictures were amazing, so many different styles, with incredible detail and audience appeal.
Thank you to Sonja Vukojevich for telling us about the exhibition, the wonderful parents who provided transport (and helped supervise) and our awesome students. The lady supervising the exhibition was impressed by your diligence in completing the worksheets and also by your great behaviour.
Sorry no photos - so busy looking I forgot to take any :-(
